Space Marines: Whirlwind

This box set contains one multi-part plastic Space Marine Whirlwind. This 85-piece kit can be assembled with either Vengeance or Castellan missiles as its payload, and with either a closed hatch or visible tank commander.

Whirlwind is an adaptation of the Rhino design. A lightly armored mobile missile battery. On top of the carrier are placed powerful rocket launchers that can flood a large area with fire and burn everything there. Thanks to special guidance systems, the Whrilwind is able to bombard even hidden or invisible targets - so, there is little chance of avoiding the fire. Whirlwind is armored on all sides, admittedly it can't withstand condensed artillery fire, however, it should easily withstand combat with basic infantry troops. Thanks to its tracks, it is capable of traversing even the roughest terrain, and need not fear getting stuck in mud, sand or other unfavorable terrain. In addition to the rocket battery, it still has a blaster rifle for firing at approaching infantry, however, it acts as a barrage and deterrent fire rather than a weapon intended to cause serious casualties - that's what rockets are for.
