The Pteraxii are one of the many specialized Skitarii castes available to the Mechanicum, designed for maximum reactivity and agility. Their reflexes are enhanced by minimizing cognitive elements that could interfere with their primary function. The Pteraxii have additional protrusions on their backs, known as scapuli superior, to which a flight pack is attached, consisting of thrusters and reactive surfaces.
