The Verdigris Effect kit from AK Interactive enables the creation of an exceptionally realistic patina effect - the characteristic greenish tarnish formed on the surface of copper and its alloys as a result of prolonged exposure to weathering. It is the perfect tool for modellers and artists who want to give their projects an authentic, aged look with a hint of the history and atmosphere of years gone by.

The kit contains a specially formulated copper-doped paint and an oxidising agent which, when combined, produce a real chemical reaction. This ensures that the effect is not artificial - it is a real patina, created naturally, which translates into an extraordinary depth and realism in the finish.

How to use:

Apply the paint to the chosen piece and allow to dry.

Then apply an oxidising agent which, when in contact with air, will trigger the patina formation process.

After a few hours or days, an authentic tarnish will appear - exactly like that on old monuments, roofs or bronze sculptures.
