Vampire Counts Black Knights / Hexwraiths originate from ancient, distant times when barbarians plagued the lands that now belong to the Imprerium. When they died, they were buried with their most valuable possessions such as weapons, armor and a mount. When Vampire Lords undertake the resurrection of a dead knight, they restore an aura of sorts, linking him together with his faithful mount. Black Knights can gallop through buildings as if they were no obstacle, and fly across a lake just above the surface without leaving a trace or a mark. These powerful units are at the Vampires' every command.
